The Morris Township Trustees will hold a special meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a right-of-way permit request, a donation, and the payment of bills.

PUBLIC NOTICE:

Portions of McKenzie Rd will be closed to traffic the week of August 31 for road construction.
The road will be widen in some areas and a base coat of asphalt will be put down during this time. A chip and seal coat will be applied in June of 2027.

A speed study is being done with the anticipation of reducing the speed limit to 45 mph on the entire road.

This is being paid by an Ohio Public Works grant covering 74% and Morris Township paying 26% of the cost of the project.
Small's Paving was awarded the contract at a cost of $174,420.

The Morris Township Trustees will hold their September meeting on Monday, August 31, 2026. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. The meeting on September 7, 2026 is cancelled.

Announcement – McKenzie Road Construction Project

Morris Township has officially begun the McKenzie Road widening and resurfacing project. While construction may cause temporary road closures and traffic delays, these improvements are designed to make the roadway safer and improve travel for the more than 1,600 vehicles that use it each day.
